Letter to Senator Finkbeiner

Note to reader: "Senate Locker Room" is the title above the door to the senate dining room.

Senator Finkbeiner,

Thanks for the opportunity to testify in support of SB 6568. Thanks also for gettin' us into that fancy "Senate Locker Room" -- my previous attempts to enter were all for naught.

Before you folks passed the "anti-spam" law, I never would've imagined that we could get spam under control. Now, having bested a spammer in court, I'm confident that we can make a real dent in the problem. I think we need to educate people about the law and how they can use it to take action against spammers, which is what I'm trying to do with my little "Zen" zine and my lawsuits in general. Imagine a state brimming with citizens willing to take obnoxious marketers by the horns -- imagine it as a movement really, kind of like those anti-nuke kooks or those slash-and-burn Eymanites. Except this coalition would span the entire political and ideological spectrum. :)

Supposing your bill gets to the house I'll do my best to make it down again to support you.

Sincerely,

Ben Livingston
