Dear Alex,

Enclosed is a notice of small claim that I have filed against Satellite Systems Network, LLC for one violation of Chapter 80.36.400 of the Revised Code of Washington. This law forbids the use of "automatic dialing and announcing devices," more commonly known as recorded telemarketing calls. On September 18, 2001, I received such a call from Satellite Systems Network, LLC.

Please note that the $500.00 amount I'm suing for is statutory. Please also note that automatic dialing and announcing devices are illegal under federal law as well; Satellite Systems Network, LLC might want to consider discontinuing this marketing practice.
